What to Expect
Before establishing a patient-doctor relationship, I offer a 10-15 minute free phone consultation to see if we would be a good fit for working together. To send me a message to request that brief consultation call, click on the “Get started” button below. There is no patient-doctor relationship established until we both agree that we would be a good fit to work together, which will be assessed within that call.
If we decide to work together, we will ideally meet in person at my office at 1 Meeting House Road, suite 16, unit 3, in Chelmsford, MA. In extenuating circumstances, we can meet virtually. Regardless of whether we meet in person or virtually, I can only see patients located in Massachusetts.
When we have our first meeting, taking the time to make sure I am understanding where you are coming from, and asking a lot of questions to make sure we’re looking under as many rocks as we can, is of the utmost importance to me. Without doing so could lead to a hasty, inaccurate diagnosis and therefore an ineffective treatment plan. So taking time at the beginning to be as efficient and effective in the long-term is my goal.
Therefore the initial assessment is done in 2-3 parts, depending on complexity. In the first part we will review your developmental, medical, social and family histories, and the current symptoms you’re experiencing, as well as screening for other possible issues or contributing factors, which may include lab work or further neurological exams.
In the 2nd (and possibly 3rd) part, I may be getting further input from other people in your life if you want me to (therapists, other providers, school or other caregivers for pediatrics). We will then review potential diagnoses together, as it’s important that you have space to review whether my assessment makes sense to you or not. Finally, we will craft a treatment plan together that may include specific therapy recommendations, lifestyle/ behavior changes, nutrition changes, working with your other providers to better address medical issues, and when appropriate, can prescribe psychiatric medications.

However I encourage you to call your insurance company and ask if they can reimburse you for seeing an out of network provider. I am happy to provide you with a superbill or itemized receipt to submit to them for reimbursement.
